ARQUITECTURE PRIZE FOR SANT PAU HOSPITAL IN BARCELONA

GRES ARAGÓN is proud to have contributed to the project "Research Center of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Barcelona", by the avant-garde architecture firms PICHarchitects_Pich-Aguilera and 2BMFG Arquitectes, awarded the Architecture Prize of the prestigious Awards ASCER ceramics in its 18th edition. 45,000 ceramic geometric pieces made by extrusion and folded with eaves. The result, functional and, at the same time, fascinating, not only fulfills its mission in terms of the commitment to protect from solar radiation by allowing optimal lighting conditions inside. But it also surprises due to the chameleonic effect created by running around it, appearing and disappearing in our path the characteristic shades of the set.The innovative use of ceramics, the sustainability of the solution and the great design haven been highlighted.
