From our Contract Department, we work on the technical ranges of GRES ARAGON product (swimming pool, industry, singular projects) and the solutions for ventilated façades and ceramic sate of  FAVEKER.

The area provides technical support to architects, engineering, installers, building workers and, in general, to all parties involved in an optimal architectural solution. Depending on the needs of the project we propose solutions, calculations and technical justifications and plans, as well as the contact with experts in matters of interest. We also work on the development of new products, solutions and applications of ceramic and / or composite materials.

Under the premise of helping to always obtain a perfect execution of projects, we come up with our experience with formative activities for the prescription, clients and sector professionals.

The concept of a ventilated façade refers to a constructive solution that allows the exterior of a building to be clad. Its main function is the physical separation between the interior and exterior environment of the building.

It involves adapting the building to sustainable building, which provides a series of improvements such as: greater energy savings and a reduction in maintenance costs.

The objective is that the rehabilitated buildings with ventilated facade approach the new demands of the CTE and, with this, ensure that the owners have greater comfort and savings in the home.

The ventilated façade guarantees an improvement of the thermal insulation of the building, since it allows to install continuous insulators between the external support of the supporting wall and the exterior cladding of the façade. The cladding of the ventilated facade protects the supporting structure, the thermal insulation and the substructure of the climatic in fl uences, since it is resistant to rain.

In summer, the sun shines directly on the floor and not on the building, heats the air in the chamber, decreases its density and convection rises, with fresh air taking its place. This is the phenomenon called “the chimney”, which prevents the accumulation of calories in the facade. The thermal insulation provides additional protection against atmospheric agents.
In winter other factors come into play, since solar radiation is not enough to achieve these air movements. In this case the facade acts as a heat accumulator, helping the air chamber to the thermal stability of the system. The thermal insulator provides a maximum thermal accumulation of the interior components that prevents the loss of heat inside the building.

Elimination of thermal bridges

The ventilated facades allow thecorrection of the thermal bridges producing an energetic saving when eliminating the contact between corbels and walls.

Elimination of condensations

The external bearing walls and insulation always remain dry and, therefore, fully preserve their function. The impact rain that could have been filtered through open joints will dry quickly due to the circulation of air in the ventilation space.

Apart from the advantages (savings, comfort, efficiency) that it brings to install a ventilated façade, its performance can still be improved by using the outer skin of ceramic material, and to a greater extent in the case of ceramic material produced by means of of extrusion.

The main advantages of FAVEKER® systems combine the advantages of ceramic ventilated façade systems and also offer additional benefits:

  • Concealed anchoring systems, with horizontal joint overlap, thus allowing breathability but protecting against moisture and water.
  • Registered systems, most systems can be disassembled to perform repairs on the skin or behind the skin of the facade without breaking pieces or disassembling large cloths. Simply remove the desired piece or pieces and put them back on.
  • Sustainable systems by definition, we use up to 30% recycled in the manufacture of ceramic pieces and the pieces can be 100% recycled, both the byproducts of the process and, in the future, the own ceramic pieces. Committed to the environment, Gres Aragon was the first Spanish company to obtain a double European recognition (Global EPD and ECOPlatform) of its DAP certified by AENOR.
  • We have several thicknesses, from the light 18 mm to the thick ones of 30 mm.
  • They are manufactured with porcelain clays offering water absorption equal to or less than 0.5%.
  • The plates are manufactured by extrusion and have an internal cellular structure that offers resistance and lightness.

In summary, the FAVEKER® ceramic ventilated façade thermal envelope systems contribute to the SAVINGS, ENERGY EFFICIENCY, SUSTAINABILITY, COMFORT, HABITABILITY, AESTHETIC, RESISTANCE AND DURABILITY projects.
