This is a coping system for overflow pools with a perimeter drainage channel, made up of extruded porcelain/clinker tiles laid on precast concrete gutters. Very similar to the well-known GA SPA U system, it is adapted for use with pools that are not necessarily for sporting purposes.
The main benefit is the ease with which the system can be installed, simplifying the process to the maximum from the moment the inside of the pool is concreted or gunited. All that it requires is a flat substrate, ensuring reduced execution times, all the necessary materials and quality finishes.
The precast concrete gutters have a structural function, with each one supporting a ceramic coping tile (used to mark the edge of the pool), in addition to their role as overflow channels.
The porcelain/clinker coping tiles are laid on top of the precast B-33 concrete gutters, where they fulfil a triple function: structural support by providing the necessary sloping edge for overflow pools, cladding because this is the top covering round the pool, and safety thanks to the tiles’ non-slip grip and role in marking the edge of the pool with their groove, which can also be used as a hand grip.
The system also accommodates ceramic gratings, in either a rigid or flexible version. When extruded porcelain tiles are used for the whole of a pool, they provide full resistance to the chemicals and natural agents used to treat the water, in addition to the products and cleaning methods used in wet areas like these.
All the porcelain/clinker tiles can be used both indoors and out, where they fulfil all the necessary requirements of relevant standards.
